Blast Off with an Estes Rocket!

Just Around The Bend.

A MTH Southern Pacific GS4 leads a string of SP passenger cars around the bend on Rainy's home layout.  The sound, smoke and detail are excellent.  Check out the test run of this loco at YouTube Rainy Day Hobbies!

Big Little Town.

A MTH Pennsylvania #611 pulls into the station where a small crowd awaits to board.  The MTH locomotive has station annoncements, synchronized smoke and cab lights.  The signal bridge has incandescent bulbs.  The next one Rainy detailed was illuminated with LED lamps....much less heat that doesn't melt the plastic.

Ahh..the smell of fresh lumber!

The Rockville Lumber & Supply Yard is busy providing lumber to the surrounding communities.  The rail spur is very active and sees at least two boxcars each day.

"Got Milk!"

The livestock depot is often overcrowded as stock cars await on the interchange track.  The yard is in disrepair and the fence needs to be repaired.  The cattle seem to enjoy the fresh hay.

The Local School Yard

There is something to say about the small town, small school house education.  Mrs. Neely will call your parents if you don't complete your homework.  It's always fun at recess.  Most students don't watch the local train drop off the refer cars, flat cars with tractors and other loads for the town but Rainy does!
